SANAPI is an integrated project aimed at promoting sustainable growth, improving people’s quality of life, and protecting the environment.
Poverty is widespread in many parts of Bolivia, often forcing inhabitants—including those in protected areas—to choose between supporting their families and environmental conservation. SANAPI aims to overcome this issue by combining measures for environmental protection and restoration with activities that foster economic development without harming the environment, thereby enhancing overall social and ecological well-being.

The objectives

Ensure food security by providing training and promoting honey production, enabling people to develop economic activities capable of supporting their families.
Provide access to water through community and household collection systems, ensuring that agroecological crops can be irrigated even during extended drought periods.
Protect biodiversity and nature by reforesting degraded areas, promoting low-environmental-impact economic activities, preventing forest fires, and offering tools and knowledge for immediate intervention.
