ASPEm in missione esplorativa in Etiopia
Dal 22 gennaio al 7 febbraio 2019 ASPEm è stata in Etiopia su invito di alcune realtà locali.
In seguito ad alcuni contatti e richieste di partenariato, ASPEm ha deciso di realizzare una missione esplorativa per valutare la possibilità di collaborare con alcune congregazioni attive in Etiopia e i requisiti per operare nel Paese.
Il viaggio è iniziato ad Addis Abeba con la visita al centro di formazione professionale di sartoria delle suore Orsoline di Gandino.

Da Addis Abeba, la delegazione di ASPEm si è spostata a nord, nella regione del Tigrai, con una prima tappa ad Adigrat, dove i missionari Salesiani hanno un oratorio alle porte della città.

Da lì si è passati a Shire, presso le Suore della Carità di S. Giovanna Antida, che gestiscono una clinica, una scuola dell’infanzia e un centro di promozione della donna.

Il viaggio è poi proseguito verso sud, con la visita ad un’altra comunità delle suore Orsoline di Gandino, impiegate in varie attività educative della diocesi di Awassa.
Rientrata ad Addis Abeba, la delegazione ha incontrato rappresentanti di istituzioni e organizzazioni attive nella cooperazione internazionale.
Insieme hanno discusso delle necessità delle comunità nelle diverse regioni e le modalità per operare nel paese.
